Description
Tankerite Plus: The Two-Component Resin Resistant to Extreme Temperatures and Chemical Agents
Discover Tankerite Plus: an advanced two-component resin designed to withstand high temperatures (up to 250°C) and chemical aggression from oils, fuels, and green gasoline. Ideal for those seeking a durable solution in treating internal surfaces of engine components, Tankerite Plus offers superior and long-lasting protection.
This resin is particularly suited for the internal coating of casings and engine covers that show evident porosity and oil seepage. Thanks to its innovative formulation, Tankerite Plus guarantees excellent adhesion on aluminum, magnesium, and light alloy surfaces, while maintaining the elasticity characteristic of the Tankerite line (in the classic “Light Brown” variant).
Main Features of Tankerite Plus:
- Resistance to temperatures up to 250°C and chemical agents
- Exceptional adhesion to metal surfaces like aluminum and magnesium
- Two-component formulation: includes 100g of resin and 50g of hardener, with a mixing ratio of 1:0.50
- Brush application: Tankerite Plus is not suitable for pouring application; it must be applied with a brush for optimal results
- Recommended solvent: Nitro
- Important Warning: Tankerite Plus is not suitable for tank treatment.
For those looking for a resistant and versatile product, Tankerite Plus is the perfect choice to ensure durability and stability for internal engine components, protecting them from the toughest environmental challenges.
TANKERITE® PLUS Instructions for Use Kit Contents
- 1 container with 250g of adhesive primer
- 1 container with 125ml of hardener The containers are pre-dosed with a 1:2 volume ratio. Each kit is sufficient to treat casings up to approximately 25 liters.
Usage Instructions
Preparation of the Casing
- Thoroughly clean the internal surfaces of the tank using nitro solvent or a similar degreasing product.
- Apply Deruster acid inside the tank, if possible, and let it act for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely.
Preparation of the Mixture
- Mix the hardener with the adhesive primer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Dilute up to a maximum of 10% by volume with anti-fog nitro thinner.
- Mix manually and slowly to ensure a good blend.
Application
- Pour the mixture into the clean casing; for aluminum casings, pre-treat with Deruster.
- Rotate the casing slowly in an elliptical motion to distribute the product evenly on internal surfaces.
- Alternatively, apply the product with a roller or brush in thin layers.
- Drain the excess Tankerite® Plus from the casing.
Drying
- Let the product dry inside the casing for 24-48 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
Note: Tankerite® Plus can be applied with a roller or brush to achieve a thin, uniform layer.
